Hiring rehearsal space
Situated in a quiet residential area in the heart of Brixton and only a 10 minute walk from Brixton tube, Brixton Community Base offers a large first floor rehearsal room with good natural light along both outer walls. Three other spaces are available for hire.
Facilities
Changing rooms (with showers and lockers), piano, keyboards, stereo and facility for aerial work. Refurbished kitchen with fridge, microwaves and drinks-making facilities.
There is the option for companies to hire office space. £150 per week gives a secure space with phone and internet access (phone calls are additional).
There is a small props room off the main hall which is included in the hire.
Transport is excellent and there are lots of great places to eat and relax after work within 5-10 minute walk.
Parking space: metered street parking. A limited number of parking permits at £3.50 per day can be purchased by arrangement.
The building has full disabled access and facilities.
Opening times 9.00am–6.00pm Monday to Friday, additional time by negotiation. Cancellation policy 50% if more than 14 days notice is given.
Studio details
1st floor hall: 16m x 7.5m, marmoleum over wooden flooring.
Ground floor hall: 7m x 9m, marmoleum floor.
The office: 5.8m x 3.6m, suitable for auditions.
Hire rates
Weekly rate: Monday–Friday:
£500–£650
Hourly rate: £15–£20 and £25 per hr weekends.
One day bookings: £100–£150
